(RFA)

Where Faith, Skills, and Stewardship Grow Season by Season

Rising Farmers Academy is a Christ-centered farm school located on our 6-acre homestead, designed to help children build real-life skills that strengthen and grow with them over time. Our program is intentionally structured so students can return each semester—deepening their knowledge, practicing what they’ve learned, and becoming more confident and capable with every session.

We offer 10-week Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters for children ages 5–12 on Mondays and Fridays, blending animal care, gardening, homesteading skills, and outdoor learning. For older students, our Teen Day for ages 13–18 meets on Thursdays, offering advanced homesteading, self-sufficiency training, and bushcraft survival skills in a faith-filled environment that encourages leadership and maturity.

Our summer camps give families even more opportunities for hands-on adventure, exploration, and learning.

At Rising Farmers Academy, each season builds on the last—allowing students to grow their skills, deepen their understanding, and thrive in God’s creation.

Mission

To glorify Jesus in all that we do. We acknowledge that as the bible says in Romans 11:36, that from Jesus and through Jesus and to Jesus are ALL things.

Vision

Our vision is to cultivate a homestead that follows the leading of the Holy Spirit, where we are faithfully building, growing, and being fruitful in all that God calls us to do. We are dedicated to accomplishing His divine purposes for His kingdom, living out His will with every step we take. Through diligent work and stewardship, we aim to be a source of abundant resources, ready to meet the needs of God's people in times of challenge and opportunity. Our heart is to serve as a vessel for His provision, a sanctuary of hope, and a testament to His faithfulness in all things.

Our Chickens & Goats

We have many chickens at all different ages and breeds including a mama hen with her 9 babies, which is so cute! We currently get about 1 dozen eggs per day. We have 3 roosters that we know of as some chickens are still babies. They all free range our 6 acres all day almost everyday. All together, it is four flocks of chickens.

The first day we brought our goats home! We got them Feb 2025. They are bottle fed babies and will give us milk in about a year to a year and a half.

UPDATE: We have since added three more goats, one in milk and two more bottle fed babies, so a total of 5! We are getting ready to breed them early next year for lots of goat milk! Their names are Barbara, Bubbles, and Bloom.

Our 9 new baby chicks! Tony will be building us a second chicken coop real soon!

UPDATE: Second chicken coop done! These babies are grown and integrated into the flock giving us lots more eggs.

Gideon, our rooster! He does a great job protecting the flock!

UPDATE: We now have many more chickens, so two more roosters with this guy. Their names are Sparky and King B.

Coming Soon!

We are so excited to announce that we’ll soon be adding a milking cow to our homestead! This is a big step in our journey toward greater self-sufficiency and growth. Before we can bring our new cow home, there’s a bit of work to be done. First, we will be fencing the entire perimeter of our property to ensure a safe and secure environment for all of our animals. We will also need to do some cross-fencing to create dedicated spaces for grazing and care. Additionally, we will build a barn to house our cow and support our growing homestead needs.
